I'm looking to possibly purchase this vehicle from a local guy...

2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
VIN : 1FMZU67E73UA39645

I have questions since the free online carfax shows 10 records.

Can someone email me the CarFax on it?
Is there a way to see if that VIN shows as stolen?

I searched the internet but cannot find anything on how to see if a
VIN shows stolen.

Thank you!

Why would you think it's stolen? More than likely it isn't, since most
stolen cars are taken to a chop shop, not resold.
"Records" could mean warranty work, accident on file, title ownership or
status change....

My advice, bite the bullet and pay to run the Carfax detail yourself, since
you are the one interested in buying it.

The DMV will know if the vehicle is salvage or stolen. If salvage, the
seller's title will clearly be marked as such. If stolen, the seller will
not have a title, in which case I suggest you make an other selection.

Unless it comes from or was titled through a state that does not use
"salvage" titles...

It costs $25 for unlimited Carfax reports for a month.

$25/2003 Sport Trac x 100 = bugger all% of your purchase price.

Stephen N.---> :) go on, dust off that wallet...
