The "buzzing" noise coming from my speedometer has gone from intermittent to
constant, and the needle is beginning to bounce, so I'm assuming I have a
cable issue and not a speedometer problem. The question is: How difficult
is it to replace the speedometer cable? 4X4, 460, Auto

I haven't done it on your paticular year and model but it is very straight
forward. Any auto part store will carry repair kits or be able to get you
the complete cable. The hardest part is the dash removal.

You don't have to remove the dash or even the instrument cluster for that
matter to get to the speedo cable. You just reach up in there and
disconnect it.
