Sand or bead blast the paint. Should only take a couple of hours then.

I've done two trucks with it and am satisfied with the results. Not
that bad a prep either, just got to give the stuff something to grab
ahold of. The pads supplied do the trick quite well.
No, it won't get tacky, once the stuff cures, a polyurethane base
forms that's pretty tough.
It cannot be tinted, so far as I know and comes in a limited set of
colors.
Both mine are black.
Take the time to watch sale papers. I bought both gallon kits for less
than half the list price at VIP auto. Don't know if that store chain
in in TX.

I did mine last year. Long bed, and I did the rails, too. Took 5 qts. The
solvent is Zylene, and stinks. You gotta prep by cleaning and then using
like 60 grit sandpaper, then wiping down with the solvent.
Two coats, a few hours between. You put it on with a brush and roller,
supplied, just like painting a bathroom, only smaller. Stir it often, and
add solvent when it gets thick. It's hard to get it wrong.............it
will look fine!

I had it on my old truck. Just after I applied the stuff it looked
great, but after a few year I wished I would have done a few more coats.
The rubber granules remained, but it developed some light spots after a
while. More coats now is easier that trying to repaint it.

Yep, you can recoat. OR, you can use anything like Armour ALL to give it
back it's sheen. Brake fluid works, too, as does liquid floor polish and
tire dressing. If you do this once a year, it will stay looking good.
Thanks for the info, I appreciate the replies.
