I have a 1983 F-250 4x4 with 6.9 diesel. Engine runs great but noticed the water pump has some play. The pump is not leaking yet but want to change it out before a problem occurs. There are several brands of pump available. There are both new and rebuilt. Which is the best and why? New should always be superior to rebuilt.
