Doing 140 km? 140 km is a distance, not a speed.

It could be the transmission. I suggest you take it to another
mechanic for a second opinion.

My Ranger was doing the same thing.  Something in your fuel system is hinky,
a sensor maybe, it and the engine are not working together properly.  Take
it to someone different and have them check it out.  My Ford dealer figured
it out for me in no time at all when I took it to them with the exact same
issue...guess yours didn't feel like tyring, that has nothing to with the
tranny at all : \
