Hi all,

I have a 2002 E350 XLT, and it has in-door central locking. But the
keys I have are new cut and there is no remote. How can I tell if I
have the remote entry module installed - can you see it? Manual says
it would be in the drivers side B-pillar, but I can't see anything
without pulling it apart. Is it factory default or an option?

Thanks!

After a quick search on Google, I found this site:

http://www.autoweb.com/content/research/vir/index.cfm/vehicle_number_int/1009212
/Action/StadardEquipment

Doesn't look like they are standard equipment.

Thanks for that! Looks like you're right, power locks but no keyless
entry. Seems odd to me to go 90% of the way and then leave out the
convenience part.

Cheers,

I don't have my shop CD with me for 2002 trucks, but how hard does it look
to pull the B-pillar apart? Might be worth a look if it's not too bad.

My '97 F150 XLT has electric doors and windows, but no keyless entry. I had
the local car alarm store install a keyless system with ignition bypass for
about $150. It took him an hour or so for the install ...
