Put a 20 oz. bottle of techron in the tank. That will clean the intake,
valves and carbon that collects in the valve body when running el-cheapo
gas that has no additives................a bottle of techron every 6
months if you are always buying the cheapest gas you can find, it is a
neccessity.
Thanx For your reply Ricky, I have been using injector cleaner in the
tank, i have found the best prouducts in my case has been
seafoam, which i add to the gas and just a little bit to the oil, also
the Lucas product ,the small bottle.Maybe i’m impatient, how long do
you think it takes these products to work?Is too much injector cleaner
no good?of all the playing around, i’ve done to find out what is
wrong, nothing has automaticlly fixed it.But it seems to me.the
injector cleaner has made a difference,Its taken awhile,i was leaning
to a intake manifold gasket leak,or a bad or dirty injector,my fuel
regulator,or maybe some sort of sensor, that i was’nt aware of what it
controlled. But the cyls that mis -fire are not right next to each
other, alltough they are on the same bank,so i’ve kind of ruled out
Gaskets, and maybe a crack in the coil pack, do you think a o2 sensor
on the oppisite bank could cause this? Back when i was working on cars
they had points and a carb, so i’m kinda lost when it comes to this
high tech stuff. Also i took my dial tire gage and put it on my
schrader valve for my fuel rail and that seemed ok also.So i’m a
dinosaur as far as this is concerned, would a faulty or plugged
injector, cause me all this grief, after all this injector cleaner? And
yes i use the cheapest fuel possible, and now i have 130000 miles on
it, It went from 20+ mpg to 10 now back up to 14 just recently. Thanx
,so any insight you have or anyone else, would be greatly welcomed!
