Ranger electrical problem

Maybe someone has seen this problem or something similar....  Any help would
be appreciated.

'97 Ranger XLT Extended Cab 4WD.  Has about 120,000 miles and has been a
great truck since I bought it new in August 1997.

The problem is electrical in nature.  When I have the headlights on, the
right turn signal will not work and the right turn indicator on the dash
display is on.  The left works fine.  If I turn the headlights off, both
will work normally, but when the right one os operating the radio display
dims out with the blinker....

Any ideas of where to start and what to look at?  Thanks in advance.

Check the bulb in the right front T/S and check the ground for that light
while you're in there.
