Heres the deal
My truck is dropping Oil pressure all the way down when i am holding
the brake pedal at a light
The check engine light comes on and it will stall if I dont put it in
neutral and raise the idle a little.
When in neutral or park this does NOT occur its only when in drive or
reverse.
it likes to die in reverse and when the wheel is at full cock

It is unloading pressure throught the rear seal when the pressure
drops and at this point causing a momentary leak.
Once i'm rolling again - no issue until i stop

is it trans related??
rear seal???
seams like vacuum to me

please help me

thanks
Johnnyboy

My situation was a little different and it was on a '78 F350 with a
carburated engine and all but my Oil light would come on when I was stopped
in D.  I didn't have any known oil leaks.  On mine it turned to be just low
idle speed.  Perhaps you have a dirty IAC valve along with some other
problem but it might be work checking.  The next thing I was going to check
was the oil sensor.
