If you are really serious, you will post your question and include the

MAKE, MODEL, Mileage, and which engine you have.

Most of the mechanics here tell me their psychic abilities
are out to lunch, and they need this information.

by not posting model, or mileage I was trying to weed out unnecessary
postings . you ether know what cam phasers are or you don't.  never mind
posting I got mine fixed for $650 total.

Lost power to my phasers last week and the Klingons threatened to take over
the world. Luckily, they were wiped out by spammers and trolls. . .

For you smarties - my Hyundai has variable camshaft phasing.  Did not
kknow Ford did it.  IT does result in a much wider torque range and
overall better performance.
