97 Ranger differential filler plug ?

What tool do I need to get the differential filler plug off ?

Usually you need a 3/8" rachet (or breaker bar, if it's stuck).  No socket,
just stick it in the hole.

If they havn't changed anything in the last "ump-teen" years, it should
still be a plug with a square hole, right?  You use either a 1/4" or 1/2"
(don't remember the size) ratchet without a socket on it...

(unless I'm misunderstanding what you are describing...)

Whoops - meant 3/8" or 1/2",  definitely not 1/4"...
