cold idle probs?

hello , i have a 94 bronco 5.0 with mass air , and auto trans . when
engine is started cold the idle goes right up to 1500 rpm and hangs
there for 30 to 45 seconds or so. if i rev engine slightly t will drop
down to 7 or 8 hundred , doesnt seem right that it jumps that fast as
soon as it starts  thanks for any info

My 89 bronco,auto also does this. no problem as it helps to keep from dying
when colc.

Hello....
I have had same problem with an E150 302 5,0 EFI 1988. Changed the Air
temprature sensor and problem solved.
