I have a 3.0L ranger, 2002.
When i pop the fuel fill cap, then try to restart the vehicle, it needs
to crank for about 20 seconds before it will start, and when it starts,
it starts rough, idles low for about 30 seconds.... requires holding the
fuel down for a few seconds to keep it from stalling again...
Also, if i leave it running while fueling, or just popping the fill cap,
it bogs down to about 500 rpm or lower, and sometimes stalls, sometimes
just hesitates to run for the fueling duration.
Seems to keep running if the vehicle is warm, but if it is cold, it
always stalls out.
Any ideas on this?
Thanks

Venting issue. Get a chassis manual and see if there is a secondary vent
that might be clogged.
