Hello, I have a 1986 Ford Escort with the Mazda 2.0 four cylinder
diesel motor. The cylinder head is cracked and the cost of repairing
the head alone is about $1000 at a machine shop. I am trying to find
another head for that 1986-1987 year 2.0 motor that is not cracked so
that it can simply be rebuild. If there is anyone out there who has
one, knows of one, or, who can point me in the right direction, I urge
you to please e-mail me at dor@writeme.com. Thank you.

I have an Escort diesel. (No, you can't have the head off of
mine.....)
The thing to remember when looking for parts is to be patient.
You surely have a backup vehicle, don't you?
Anyway, unfortunately the best place to buy parts for one of these is
ebay. Just be real
patient and parts or complete junkers will be available every now and
then.
Good luck.

How is your Escort diesel running? Any tips on replacing the starter?
