Hello, I had a battery problem recently and I noticed that the antenna doesn't go down anymore. I replaced the battery with a brand new one and still the same problem. Is it just a coincidence that the antenna went out at the same time as the battery? Does the antenna have a fuse that I can check? Do the power mirrors still work? I don't know if the picture is correct, but it's for 96-99, so 3rd row, 2nd in... It certainly could be if he wants a hidden radio install to preserve the lines of the car. If you "French" the power antenna mount into the fender it could practically disappear, so it's not as odd as it sounds by any means... You cut a piece of ~1" - ~1.5" tubing with the top antenna mount nut "hidden" on a flat mounting washer at the bottom, angle cut on the top to match the fender profile, weld it all together and blend the seams. A short French tube gives the antenna a flat spot to sit on a severely curved or angled panel where a regular nut will not work, and a deep French tube hides it totally. Make an oval beauty cover for the hole just big enough for the antenna tip to pop out through and it really disappears. And don't forget a rain water drain hole/hose.
