Hello!

I've been offered a 97 Tbird, V8, auto, A/C, runs well, has new plugs/
wires, decent tires, cloth seats, will need passenger side rear window
replaced(vandalism), and the radio is missing(vandalism).  The only
thing is, it has about 220K miles on it...

Any know problems with the 97s, engine/transmission, etc?  It is
unknown whether the high mileage is mainly highway or in-town
driving.

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, notions?

Thanks for any information you can offer!  :-)

Here is a website for enthusiast http://forums.tccoa.com/  Having owned
numerous Cougars, Lincoln Marks and Thunderbirds (including sc's). I one
point I owned 3 at one time of each. Of course the 1992 Lincoln LSC will
always be my baby.I own a 97 Cougar Anniv.V8 with 272k with no extreme
maintenance issues-runs like a horse yet.. I WOULD SAY JUMP AT IT ! The 2
vandalized items are about $400 to replace and that would get you a good
cheap mp3/cd deck. The 97 v8 was the best year. Engine and transmissions
were great. Of all the years this is the best and a big sleeper. I am moved
over to Taurus Sho's now but yeah, me personally, if you don't I would.
Please this is my opinion. Any car no matter who made it=can be a lemon plus
how well it was cared for. Have any pics? Please send them too
bpkabby@yahoo.com . Make sure you cover your bases.. Pull a wheel, drive it
awhile (fluid leaking)?
If my opinion counts and I know these cars. If it appears to be taken care
of-jump on it! thanks, Bruce
