5.0 engine? (86 lincoln towncar)

does this engine last a long time (say 200K miles) if maintained ok?

is it a good reliable engine? how about the car?

The 5.0L Ford V8 is probably one of the most bulletproof and
reliable engines ever mass produced by anyone in the world.
The Towncar is a good but, not outstanding vehicle but, when
all costs are considered, it is a great value.  200K miles
is not a problem for the engine or car if properly
maintained and driven.  As with any other vehicle, it can be
tortured and neglected to death very quickly.
