Hi

Any ideas on this one??

It's night time here so no real chance to investigate - will have a dig
around in the morning but any suggestions would be welcome as I'm no
mechanic

Went to start the car - last driven two days ago - when it started without a
hitch

Nothing??? hello - the lights, fan, c/locking work but not a sound from the
engine - not a relay click - nothing

Opened the bonnet to check no one had stolen the engine :-) well to see if
any wires had become dissconected from the battery - they all seem to be in
place will check again in daylight

Oh it's the 2.0 DOHC engine if that makes a difference

Many thanks for any pointers

Tim

Quick night time check.  Pull on main beams (should be bright)  Do
they dim when you turn the key to start position.  No dim = no power
to starter (solenoid, cables, starter brushes etc).  Lights dim out
(weak battery) Lights dim a bit 50% seized starter or partial ground.

Let us know what you find.  Batt should be around 12.5 volts  down to
10 / 11Volts  cranking if it's weak

Thanks for the info

Turned out to be a flat battery

Never had one go so flat that the relays etc didn't click :-(

New battery for me I guess

Cheers

Tim
