Hello Steve,
I have a 99 ford ranger that is doing the same thing. I travel 40 miles
to work one way and in the mornings it starts great but in the afternoos
it won't stay running unless I use brake and gas to keep it running. This
doesn't happen everyday but often. I have a full tank in mine and it
seems to still do it. I try not to touch the gas petal at all when I
start it and to me it seems to help.I have changed the air control valve
once and it is fairly new so I don't think that was it. It seems like
after the motor warms up some it stays running so I'm thinking its a
choke shut off problem, which might be why my miles to gallon has been
low. I hope we can find out why. HEY FORD REPS ARE YOU LISTENING AND
READING?
