Spoiler - how to remove, and hide holes?

I am contemplating removing the rear spoiler on my 2005 Focus ZX4-ST, as it
blocks
too much of my rear view.
Since I want to re-attach it when it is time for resale, I want to use a
small removable plug, rather than bondo, to disguise the four mounting
holes.
I was thinking of chrome or stainless carriage bolt .
Any alternative suggestions?
Thanks,  Roger

Plastic / hard rubber plugs - designed for that application - painted
body color & w/ flex additive are your best option.  Seal them in with a
good clear silicone and they will come out easy when required.

Now for some bad news - you may need to be sure to leave your spoiler
outside for as much as the car is to avoid mismatching due to fading.

Good luck w/ that...

Don't remove it! Just put some phone books on the front seat, just high
enough so you can look over the spoiler. It will also give the people
who you pass on the road the appearance that you are a big badazz.
Seriously go to Home Cheapo or Lowes and buy some plastic "push rivets"
(they look like mushrooms) and use a dab of clear silicone to seal out
the weather. Paint rivets with a close match "plastic only" paint,
prior to installation. Total price should be about $6.00 as long as you
don't have to drive 100 miles to the store.

Not sure about the silicone.  It will eat through paint down to the
primer.  Instead, go to a body shop supply store and ask for 3M body
sealer.  It's what is used at the factory to seal seams where steel panels
come together.
