>> Check out our site http://www.powerstroke.org Alan - 03 Apr 2006 22:47 GMT Piss up a rope Jim I don't make a single dime off it smart guy and it's not a PAY site, so before you try and start crap with someone why don't you get a clue.

Being I'm looking into a PowerStroke down the road. I found some nice posts in the forums already.
Screw the critics. I like it.

Jim Warman - 06 Apr 2006 09:35 GMT Hmmm... a sponsor flash panel at the top... a (as yet unpopulated) sponsor hyperlink.... a "coming soon" catalog.... Of course you don't make a dime..... yet...
A clue?... First of, you just pissed on the boot of a Ford Certified Diesel Master Tech.... Second... J. Lester already has a good chunk of sponsor loot over at TDS... you'll have to go some to piss in his cornflakes.... Alan... I HAVE a clue and I can see what it's all about. A siye with sponsors is rarely non-partisan....
I'll piss up the rope OK... you just want to be careful you're not sucking on the end....
Have a good day, Alan.... GrampyJim ain't comin' to your party...

Master Tech"....Jim....STILL not getting a clue here are you? I don't own the site - so let me type this again slower this time so maybe, just MAYBE, you'll understand. "I DON'T MAKE A DIME OFF THE SITE" - get it that time smart guy? I simply posted a link and you started crap with me. So GrumpyJim you'll do well to keep away from our site, we don't want folks with your attitude there anyway - get the feeling I'm not exactly heart broken there bubba? You're the poster boy of what we DON'T have at our site. I was being nice and posted a link, you started crap and then act surprised when someone gives you crap right back - way to go Jim, everyone should REALLY be impressed with you.
Paul thank you and I'm glad you enjoy the site. Hope you stick around and if we can help or answer any questions just ask.
For anyone else who would enjoy a site where Diesel enthusiast get together, get helpful information and knowledge from Deisel Techs and PSD owners, without having to put up with folks like Jim starting crap with them for posting, we'd love to have you stop on by. Some of our members don't even own PSD's they just enjoy the "un-Jim-like" atmosphere.
Keep pissing up that rope Jim, you're just a squirrel in my world trying to get a nut.

Alan - 07 Apr 2006 22:15 GMT Very nice site too Tom - I actually have been a paid member there. I personally prefered the family feel of Powerstroke.org and that's why I'm there now. I'd be careful though Tom we wouldn't to make GrumpyJim mad because we mentioned nice places for diesel folks to get together. Both our sites have these things called "sponsors" that make him mad......wouldn't want to do that to a "Certified Diesel Master Tech".......he's the only one around I hear...........
> actually, there is a very good site for ford trucks and diesel owners. it > is > called Ford Truck Enthusiasts, and can be found at www.fordtrucks.com > and > there currently are over 367,000 registered users from all over the world. Jim Warman - 08 Apr 2006 03:07 GMT Alan, I am not, nor do I ever hope to be in your world... Have fun with it all the same....
FWIW... newsgroups are free and, aside from those trying to gather fodder for "advertising enriched" venues as well as out and out "for profit" ads, can garner a lot of knowledge....
I could really give a rats a.s if anyone is impressed with me... All I offer is what help I can and acidic comments when I see lapses in basic thought process. Those needing information are free to take it or leave it. I have no concerns with giving what advice I can, borne of many years in this trade, free of advertising, free of charge (care to tell us about this "premium member" scam?) and in a venue where a total stranger is not making profit. Whether you are benefitting financially or not, is of little concern... "someone" is. You had the opportunity to tell me how this venue differs from others and how my knowledge might benefit others. You chose not to take it.
If you had actually had a clue about this (or any) newsgroup, you would notice that there is a good knowledge base offered by several regulars.... Seeing that this appears to be your only contribution to this NG, one can only wonder what your motives are.... As you are now realizing, UseNet is NOT politically correct. If you feel the need to call me a useless twat, you are free to do so without some etherial big brother leering over your shoulder... I am free to respond in a demeaning manner, respond in kind or ignore you - my choice - your choice.
What you WILL see on sites supported by advertising is a reluctance to place an advertisers product or service in a bad light.... partiality takes a holiday....
You guys have fun with your little thing..... after you guys have one of your posters replace three or four thousand dollars worth of needless parts because nobody offered sound diagnostic advice, you can feel good because he tried to purchase most of his parts from one of your advertisers....
Now, if only these wipers would scrape you off my windshield....

A guy came on here posted a link and you decided to start crap with him.
You sir are a complete and utter hypocrite - one of these sites is ALL about making money and you don't have a problem posting all over it.
"Advertise on this site" link - They have that there so people can advertise for free right Jimbo? The google adds - no one makes a dime on those sites right? ALL those links people post to their products? They give those away for free right?

Kinda funny how you have a history of being an asshat to people......the whole thread about you being a pedophile has me really wondering about you now Jimbo. You're good at pissing people off aren't you?
Does ANYONE HAVE TO PAY AT OUR SITE? NO the people who are "Premium Members" are just SITE SUPPORTERS. Apparently the world YOU live in everything is free - I'm a Network Engineer Jimbo - bandwidth may be cheap bubba but it aint free. Severs/ISP/Software - I CHOOSE to support the site because I enjoy it and I know it costs money to run one. The fact that I as a Premium Member drive a $45K truck and the owner of the site drives about a $15K truck further proves my point. There is ZERO cost to hang out at the site, ZERO. The hypocritical, crap starting, life is free world you live in sounds really screwed to me old man.
Let's go over this again Jimbo;
I posted a link to a site
You decided to start crap with me about people making money from the site
I prove you wrong in that people DO NOT HAVE TO PAY at the site - people can support the site ONLY if they choose
You continue to start crap, explain to me about newsgroups - thanks - because us network geeks know nothing about the internet
I prove you're a hypocrite, a grumpy bastard who likes to start crap and someone even thinks you're a pedophile
I can only assume you're going to CONTINUE to start crap so lets have it.........

[quoted text clipped - 83 lines] >>>>> >>>>>> Check out our site http://www.powerstroke.org Jim Warman - 08 Apr 2006 18:02 GMT Well, I'm sorry if others aren't allowed to express their opinions in your narrow little world, tadpole..... If you are an example of the quality of people that thrive at that site, you are better off without me......
While I may be prolific on TDS, you haven't noticed how many threads get "locked" after my input.
Please remember... I expresmed MY opinion (something that I thought I was free to do).... you took exception to MY opinion and it was you that decide to start crap. Takes two to tango, little one... By posting the link, YOU expressed an opinion. I replied with an opinion..... Hmmmm... Seems to me, every situation has at least two opinions... It isn't the second opinion that starts crap - it's what happens AFTER the second opinion that starts crap...
Good-day, young sir... have fun in your sandbox...

Apparently you failed to realize how this started.....
I came at you because you went at me for doing nothing more than posting a link to try and help people, as well as help our site. You immediately assumed that I own it, or make money off it and that was proven not the case. That still wasn't good enough for you. Someone starts crap with me and I'm always willing to oblige, in the real world, or the virtual. How can you dog on our site but post on TDS Jim? That's just the epitome of hypocritical. Look Jim - I know you know your stuff about vehicles and I'd never discount that but if you think I'm going to overlook it when you shed a false negative on my post - I wasn't going to let that go. This wreck that you and I have had here is actually very beneficial to our site, so if you'd like to continue I'm more than happy to oblige. Fact of nature - people like controversy and you and I have created it - fortunately for me we're benefiting from it because once people click on the link, they see it's a nice place to hang out.

"Oooo another opportunity for me to post what I know for free while someone else turns a buck from it.... Sign me up...".... perhaps you can show me where I mentioned your name.... perhaps you can show me where I "assumed" anything untrue.
I do realize how this started... I expressed MY opinion.... YOU don't want ME to have an opinion unless it meshes with yours.
The subject, young sir, is closed.
Alan - 08 Apr 2006 19:40 GMT I'll take a page from your book Jimbo;
ctl-c.....ctl-v.......

Alan - 08 Apr 2006 18:10 GMT DAMN! Do you realize the number of folks who have come to the site thanks you Jimbo? You being an asshat has really helped us - let's keep this going - You keep being you man - you're a promotional magnet! See Jimbo had you actually checked the site out you'd have seen that it's a family atmosphere, very fun and very helpful. Do you REALLY think that folks prefer guys like you who give people crap for nothing more than a simple post - like you did me - or prefer a nice place to shoot the sh.t and hang out where we DON'T put up with that kind of behavior? Funny it seems my post was a success thanks to you. Funny thing is about this whole thing Jimbo - on our site you and I would have probably gotten along....it just works out well for me here that we don't.
