Recently purchased a 94 Blazer. All but the driver's side window worked.
Driver's side was clunky by seeming skipping a gear tooth it seemed in
operation. Did front passenger side first. Was uneventful and a learning
experience.
Driver's side/front was a laughing matter. Somewhere along the line a
former owner replaced the electric motor. Instead of drilling out the
rivets on the motor to regulator, and replacing with rivets or bolts/nuts,
he/she used bailing wire to secure the motor to the inside of the door. The
motor was not firmly attached to the regulator. He/she bolted the regulator
to the door normally, less one attachment point. All but two trim retainers
were holding the door inside trim. Rest were all broken prior to
disassembly. Early imminent failure of the driver's side window operation
was due to firm connection between motor and regulator.
Come on. Assess exactly what you need, and if you find you need something
else, the tape will hold the window closed until you finish repairs. Just
don't attempt window operation while window is taped up. The drivers side
switch module must be in place to operate any other window on this vehicle.
If anyone needs hints on power window electric motor replacement on this
year vehicle or similar Jimmy. Lemme know.

If all the electric window motors except the driver's worked, why did you
replace the front passenger side?

Should have said "did not work".
