I am looking for a 2004 DTS and have found a couple that were Mary Kay
Tricolor (Frost Pink) and then repainted to White Lighting before
auction.  They do this to lots of Cadillacs.  Is it a bad idea to buy a
repaint like this?

Not necessarily.  Properly done, a paint job is as good as factory paint.
It all depends on who did the work, what shape the car was in originally
(rust, etc.), and what kind of job they did.  Can't be any more specific
without knowing more about the paint job that went on the car.

Many times these Mary Kay cars are high mileage for their age since they are
after all a work car.  Still it should be a good deal.
