Maybe your compressor is locked up. Does the AC clutch turn freely when
it is inactive? It should.
If you try to turn a locked up compressor or defective clutch while
bypassing
the low pressure switch, of course it is going to eat up a belt.
I believe I would reactivate the LP switch, get a new belt, and drive to an
AC shop

Good advice...and who knows, that new belt could just solve your
