My '87 DeVille has these type covers and they rattle....loudly!  I've
tried JB Weld, plastic tooth picks and other attempted remedies, but
nothing seems to work.  The 'spokes' have fake adjusters like
motorcycle/bicycle wheels.  Has anyone had this same problem?  A fix?
Without them on the car is quiet like a Cadillac.  With them, it sounds
like a Roman chariot coming down the street....help?  Thanks

You can buy a set of used hubcaps that aren't wired wheeled.  For about
$40-$50 off ebay or at a used hubcap place.  Cadillacs have always had
several kinds of hubcaps to choose from, half of which were non wire wheel
type.  Plus they look better.  Fake wired wheel caps are kinda
cheesy/tacky.

Yes I know that.  This response is of no help in answering my question.
I'm hoping for a solution to fix (quiet) the covers that are OEM to the
Classic package bought by the original buyer.....

Are these the "anti-theft" kind with the fancy bolt that holds them on?
if so you may want to too first replace the GM special keyed bolt with
a plain bolt (with a 6 or 12 point head) and then tighten the bolt
extra tight.

The hubcaps on my 89 Caprice waggy were acting the same way, Once I
replaced the bolts and over tightened them the noises stopped.

Yes that is what they are.  I use a pair of water-pump pliers to get
them TIGHT, but that didn't help much.  The trouble/noise/rattle is
because the 'U' part of the spoke inside the housing isn't attached to
anything.  I've tried JBWeld, but it broke loose.  I had the loose
spokes quiet for awhile by using plastic toothpicks, but when the car
was washed they came out.....I keep thinkin' WELD these mothers, but
they probably can't be welded...  Thanks

I'd drop those wire wheel covers like a bad habit, if I were you, and get
some regular disc type ones with the Caddy logo in the middle.  Also, The
'80's Buicks Lesabres/Park Avenue/Pontiac Bonneville/Olds 88's had some
really cool, clean, and tasteful disc style hubcaps that'd fit on your
Caddy.  It'd be cool to have Buick or Olds hubcaps on a Caddy!  I like
doing stuff like that.  I'm sort of sick and twisted.  Matter of fact, I
think the '85 to '92 Caddys share the same platform as the Buick
Lesabre/Olds 88/Pontiac cars, right?  Of course the Caddy looks different
than those other cars and the Caddys engines were different.
