Is there a separate fan switch or does the ECM control the cooling fan? Mine
works with the AC, but does not seem to turn on when the engine gets warm in
stop and go traffic.

Any links to a wiring diagram?

Various sensors and switches control the ecu which controls the relay which
controls the fan.  GM wiring diagrams are proprietary.  Perhaps someone on here
can scan the appropriate pages and email them to you.
Either that or buy them.
Does the fan turn on when the a/c is on?
If not, you might try jumping the relay to see if the fan is any good.
I don't know the relay location in that vehicle.
