Chevy Volt is a great name for a car but GM, don't be a fool and make it an
electric car. Those things were proven impractical before WWI and nothing
has changed.
Nobody's going to pay 20 to 30K or more for a car you can't drive nonstop
from Los Angeles to Bakersfield. Or continuosly from Los Angeles to San
Francisco. And if the car battery costs more than $100, you've got a
problem with the second-hand market. After all, who drives those 10
year-old cars anyways? Hint: Poor folk. If the battery is more than
$100, that car will have zero used car value.
Make that Chevy Volt a 1000 pound two passenger FWD 3 cylinder turbo diesel
(non-timing belt) streamliner that is safe, comfortable and gets 75 mpg.
You will stay in business. Make it electric and UR history,
Think Jag XKE. A '62 Jag must be worth $25 grand today. A '62 Caddy isn't
worth more than scrap iron.

And that's it folks - listen to the roar of the crowd! They're going wild
over that one, they just loved it. We haven't heard a crowd laugh that loud
since the Queen farted during the coronation ceremony.
