My Car: 1990 Honda Accord with 150K miles on it

My Problem: My car was fine till yesterday. When I tried starting the
car today:
1. In start(ignition) postion 2, the lights didnt come on (normally it
turns on the automatic seat belts, starts on the lights etc). But it
didnt do that! The car was completely blank in position # 2
2. And when i moved the key further to position 3, it started the
lights etc, and also started the engine. So i was happy with that!
3. But, when i released the key to drive the car, the car just
stopped!! :(

My Questions:
Q1.Can somebody please suggest what the problem may be!
Q2.Also please let me know how much it would cost :(
Q3.How do you suggest i take the car to a mechanic? (jump starting
wont work i guess, also probably it is not safe to drive it even if
does start somehow) Do you think i should ask AAA to tow it down to a
close-by mechanic ?

Thanks in advance!

=====================

Do a Google search for 'honda ignition switch' and you'll see your
symptoms. Replace the ignition switch. Parts guy has the numbers
memorized  :-)
