Yes. It's a maintenance item, but you can do it yourself.
In fact, someone has done up detailed instructions with pictures. Head
to www.odyclub.com and check out a fairly recent thread.
The Purolator filter is $22 or so.

The filter catches dust / pollen. Replacing it won't 'clear the air' of
smells. . . more likely you've got mildew under the hideaway seat, or
your sunroof drains are plugged, and leaking into the carpets, or
somebody barfed and didn't get it sucked out properly.
Changing the cabin filter will give you 3x as much airflow, if it's
really plugged. :-)

Well, my 1900 mile trip with a bad transmission leak...with trans fluid
vaporizing EVERYWHERE...I don't think it will do any harm to change the air
filter.
I am an upholsterer by trade, in business for 17 years. Fiber dirt, stains,
smells, don't concern me. I can just clean or change the offending piece.
Air space that I can't get to does concern me. If the new air filter
increases air circulation, then yay, that's a good thing. I have a very
picky sense of smell.
