Dealers in my area are beginning to accumulate 2005 Accord Sedans, and
one dealer has quoted me a price. But neither Edmunds nor Consumer
Reports have Honda 2005 prices up yet, so I don't know whether I have
any negotiating room and if so, how much. Does anyone have an idea as
to how much I should be paying for an LX with automatic transmission?

Friend of mine just got a great deal on a 04 LX Accord for 18,200 > six
hundred under invoice. Kelly Blue Book http://kbb.com/ has the 2005
retail prices listed but not the invoice price yet. I think the 2005 is
about hundred dollars more then the 2004.

That's about where the low bid I accepted came in. Amazingly, one
dealer tried $20,300 on me; a second, $19,700.

Caveat emptor.

$18,600 sounds great for automatic. Lowest I got was $18,944. Where is your
dealer located?
