Trip Odometer Troubles

Hi guys,

I have a '92 Prelude 4WS. Recently my trip odometer jammed. The
regular odometer works just fine. When I try to reset it, the digits
slide all to zero except for the last (1/10 of a kilometer) and stays
stuck between 9 and 0. This wouldn't bother me if it wasn't for the
noise. Every 1/10 of a km, it goes *click* when the mecanism tries to
turn but can't. It's actually getting very annoying. Any
thoughts/advice on how to get the damn thing turning again... at least
once so that I never touch it again? Thanks guys.

Try resetting it while driving backwards . . .  ?
