Hello all,

I've noticed a clicking noise for about a week or two now when I start
the car,  it does not run super smooth.  I've got 33K miles on it.

I've checked oil and the oil level is good.

Ther other day it did not start right away,  I tried again and still
did not start.  Finally I cranked it for 3 or 4 seconds and it
started.  The next few times it started fine.  But then the other day
it did something similar,  a problem starting.

I've got an appointment with the dealer for a 30K maintenance...but
thats over a week away.

Anyone have any suggestions?...I'm thinking maybe a spark plug?  But
I'm not sure and have not checked.

thanks

=======================

Starting problem: Did you notice the flashing 'KEY" on the dash when
this happened? If your keyrings are too big, or cell phone is too close
to the ignition switch, the immobilizer will not allow the engine to
start. If it ever sputters, blows smoke, then starts badly, you could
have a flooding problem, which shows up after sitting for several hours.

Noise: If you've got 10w-30 instead of 5w-30 in your engine, you might
get valve train noises 'clicking' until the engine warms up for a few
minutes.

Another tip: Do the 'lamp check', as described in your manual, before
starting. It gives the fuel injection time to get charged up, and
confirms that your idiot lights are working.
