I have about 22K miles on a 2003 Honda CR-V EX. The Malfunction
Indicator Light (MIL) came on and has stayed on. Okay, so I
tightented the gas cap. Still on after several trips. Took it into
Honda and the diagnostics is ringing up a bad TPS (which could also
explain the high RPMs and slight lurch when braking). Is this typical
for this vehicle?

nope, but thats what you have a warranty for.

Good news. There's a TSB about this (I think) and you might get it fixed
for free. Try this....

It's an expensive part, since you get the whole intake.

Thanks... I'm still covered under warranty ("certified pre-owned").
They'll repair it in about a week. Still... I think this is too early
for this kind of problem. [note: I had put 92 octane the day before.
I usually put regular (87), so either terrific coincidence or really
bad gas.]
