Recently, the radio has started taking about 2 minutes before shutting down
after I remove the key from the ignition.  Is there some way to set it back
to shut down immediately?

Does the owner's manual say it's supposed to stay on (at all)? Newest
manual I have is for a '98 (different generation).

Happened to me a while back. Turned out to be the power inverter used to
power a little TV.  It kept enough of a charge to power the radio for about
2 minutes.
Make sure you take out any items that are plugged into the cigarette
lighter/power plug in back.

Yes, I do have an inverter plugged in.  I'll unplug it.

Thank you very much.  The service person at the Honda dealership was foxed
by my question too.

Regards,

Sunil
