I bought my Accord 2000 SE auto about 8 months ago, and since I have no
records of previous maintenances, I decided to replace the transmission
fluid at 100,000 km. My question is: was it a right decision? What else
should I do to maintain the transmission?

Thanks for any advice.-Rob

Ask a dealer for manual, they may be able to acquire you one, and YES, you
did the right thing by changing the fluid, on used carsand motorcycles, I
always change  fluids when I get it, you don't know how long it's been in
there.

You can even change it twice, or three times, since you only drain about
30% each time. . . Just be sure to drive it in between , and IMMEDIATELY
before removing the drain plug to be sure all the crud is in solution.
You only use honda ATF in a Honda. Saves on trips to the newsgroup.:-)

Call the American Honda zone rep in your area.  Number should be in
your owner's manual.  Give them your VIN number and they can tell you
what services, if any, were performed by a Honda dealer.  I would
always replace the fluids on a used car unless I knew the owner.
