Car Forum / Honda Cars / December 20041986 Accord Exi - oil leak , oil filter mount leak , burning smell from oil leaking onto exhaust
It looks like my car is leaking oil between the oil filter mount(?) and the engine block. It's pretty hard to see or even get a socket too, and I can't tighten the top bolt unless I removing the oil filter. Is this a common spot for leaks? Does anyone know if there is a gasket between these two? Zed p.s. the car has 340,000+ kms I have an 1988 Accord Lxi with the same problem. What was your fix? Is there an oring or gasket between the block and oil filter mount?
