warped front brake rotors - did you have the tires rotated or removed
recently - generally it is the boys with the impact wrenches - you
might be able to reduce the shimmy by retorquing the lug nuts.

A word about tightening lug nuts - if you tighten lug nut #1 to 80 FP
or whatever your manual sez - much less for fancy rims - and then
tighten #2 thru 4 lugs to 80 FP - #1 is probably way tight cause the
wheel was not centered till the other 3 lug nuts were tightened.
Partially tighten them all and then go to the required FP (Foot Pounds
of torque).

I never let anyone with a impact wrench even get close to my lug nuts -
even if they have torque sticks.  Rotors are fairly easy to replace on
the later accords.  A DIY job.

brakes or ball joints getting weak. The wheel  alignment could also cause
vibration a high speed but that happen even when not braking.

Hi, I have just had an almost identical problem on my Prelude vtec.I had a
severe wheel wobble at high end braking and the car would judder felt like
it would fall apart.

I tied to emove the pads to check fo any run out on the disc's and it was
then I found that the caliper was not releasing when I stopped braking
causing a slight braking effect all the time and overheating so that when
you did brake the disc was distorting where the two plates ae joined.

Stripped the caliper down and cleaned both piston and inner surfaces
rebuilt, had to have disc refaced but perfect now. Hope this helps.Vic

Well, if all else fails, you could at least look at your car as an
oversized sex toy.

re-torque the front wheels.  sequence is 1324, for 4 lugs or 13524 for
5.  do half tight first, then full tight.  do /not/ use an impact wrench.
