I am in need of some major help. I have a '93 honda civic that has an
automatic transmission (i'm not sure i'm even saying this right), and some
times when i try to put it in gear it won't go into gear, and other times
i'll try to down shift when i'm slowing down and it won't down shift.
Other times it will be really hard to put it in gear, and sometimes it'll
make this grinding noise when i put it in gear. I don't know what is going
on and i need to fix the problem does anyone know what my car is going
through. If so I would appreciate your advice, so i can fix the problem.

Well, sounds like a transmission problem ;-)

Take it to a mechanic.
