How do I retrieve the check engine light code for a honda civic 99 and
where can i find the meaning of those code

Your car is OBD-II. You need an OBD-II code reader.

I went to my local Autozone and got the code pulled and got the meaning
of that code all for free (there hoping you'll buy the parts there)
