Took the 06 EX Coupe for a test spin. I wanted to test drive the DX (which
has no AC), but dealer doesn't have that model in stock. So, I took the EX
for a spin.
Here's how it compared to my 98 Hatch (which happens to sport upgradeding
suspesnion and a very peppy stock motor).
EXTERIOR.
Nice!
INTERIOR.
It would have been nice, if I was 5 inch's narrower in the shoulder. I was
able to toleratate the narrow seats and it was a wellcome change to get back
into the worn-out seats in the 98 Hatch... The RSX's seats felt vastly
superior to my old Civic, But my real preference is the seating feel of my
old CRX (btw, the Insight has the same seating layout/feel as the CRX).
Tse small stearing wheel felt like one of those TrustMaster gaming wheels.
It didn't feel bad, just one of those things that you'd have to get used to.
More importantly, steering feed back felt fine.
The digital speedo was fine and perfectly placed to allow room for the
gigantic tachometer, which might not make a lot of sense for those who've
only driven automtic tansmission. But, it makes perfect sense for the rest
of us.
My polarized 'Maui Jim' sunglass totally blanked out all the LCD readings,
except for the speedometer (thankfully). Since my main intrest was the
tachometer, which wasn't effected my the sunglass, the side effect from a
superior set of sunglass didn't bother me.
thought the handbrake would jar against my leg, but It wasn't the case on
the road

that's a good point! incredibly dumb if you ask me - any high school
physics student should know that one. just as they should know that
polarized glasses for road driving are much more effective at reducing
glare than non-polarized, so polarized /are/ going to be used. really,
it's an incredibly dumb move by honda.

Most, maybe all, LCD displays present problems when viewed with
polarized filters. We spent >$5K on a very nice LCD HDTV camera
monitor only to have the producers realy complain when they
couldn't see it with their fancy sunglasses.
Since I really need my job I just kept my mouth shut during the
"hunt for the innocent"/inquasition. Management was less tehn
thriled to find out the only answer was to not wear polarizing
fitlers.
I loved it.
