Hello,

The ABS Unit in my 1995 Honda Accord is on its way out.  I'd like to
pull the fuse so I dont have to hear it run for 60 seconds whenever I
start the car.  Anyone know the fuse number and location off hand?  I
just got the car a little while ago, and I dont have the service manual
yet!

Thanks!!
Chris

You don't need a Service manual . . . It's in the Owner's Manual as
well, and printed on the inside of the fuse box covers. There's at least
three fuse boxes on your '95. The fuse you want is probably in the
smaller of the two under the hood. That's the ABS fusebox.

Dealer should be able to get you a manual by the end of the week, but
wrecking yards sell them for about 1/3rd price. '95 thru '97 is
basically the same for owner's manuals, I think.

Search Google and fix the ABS yourself . . Winter is coming.

There should be an ABS fuse/relay box under the hood.  On the Odyssey it is
just rearward of the battery, Accord should be similar.  In it you will find
two 20 amp fuses, a 10 amp fuse and a 40 amp ABS motor fuse (held in by two
screws).

I believe (not certain) that the warning light will stay on if you pull the
fuse(s).

Thanks for the replies...I know I need a new ABS pump/accumulator
unit...it worked fine for a few months but now whenever I try to top it
off it will leak right out of the bottom. I believe
discoveryautoparts.com sells used and tested units for about $197,
which isnt too bad compared to the $800 or so they cost new!!

Hey Curly I was posting a few months ago when I first go the car and
you helped me out...activating the ABS system did keep it going for a
while.  It seems like its definitely time for a new pump though...is
there any way to rebuild the old unit? Or should I just go for the used
one from discoveryauto?

There was a TSB on these "way back when" that related to the leakage
problem.  Look at the unit carefully.  If it is leaking out of the plugs,
all you have to do is replace the seals on them.
