My wife complains the passenger seat back does not heat when she turns
on the heated seats, yet the driver seat back heats fine.

Does anyone know if this is by design, or do I have a problem?

TIA

Read the owner's manual.  It's a fine manual, and it's chock full of
information that you don't know about your car.  In fact, it's chock
full of information that you don't know you don't know about your car.

Like this tidbit you refer to here.

The passenger seat doesn't have heating in the back cushion to make
room for the airbag detecting system.  My wife complains too.  :-)
