hi, I'm geting a honda care warranty for my new accord, and I was wondering
what the cheapest one you guys (and gals) have found. so far for the 8 year
120k plan I've found 976 (something close to that) with no deductable.
anyone find it any cheaper than that? thanks

The way I see it, I pay a premium for the Honda brand because it is supposed to
be more reliable than other brands.  Buying the extended warranty is just
costing me more money.  If I didn't trust Honda, I would buy a less expensive
car and use the price difference to buy an extended warranty.  Better yet, buy
a car with a better warranty than Honda.  I believe Hyundai has a long warranty
for no extra cost.

alex, as I understand your point. Any car brand can have it's problems,
honda, acura, nissan, VW, Audi, BMW. whatever you buy or whatever you pay
for it. I figure for under 1,000 I have a warranty for the first 8 years or
120,000 miles, and that includes the Navigation system I paid for. I'm sure
if something were to go wrong on that (lets say a bunch of pixels die in the
screen, or the CD changer stops working) I'm covered. in an 8 year span, if
one or 2 things break out of warranty , I'm covered and the warranty paid
for itself. I plan on having this car for a while.

curry honda (wherever THAT is) supposedly has the best deals on
Hondacare Warranties. bet those people with dead radio displays (right
after 32k miles!) wish theyd had it.

But weren't you leasing the vehicle?  I haven't seen a lease term that long.

yes I'm leasing but planning to buy. teh onyl reason I'm leasing is because
I can take the money I got for my old car and put it to work for me, wile
making lower payments. plus the interest was less than buying it. when teh
36 months are over I'll be buying it. and even if I kept it for 2 years and
sold it, I'd get mroe money for it having an extended warranty (as they are
transferrable) although I don't plan on getting rid of it for a while (has
all the bells and whistles I'd want and is great on gas)
