a friend of mine has a 97 accord v6 with the reverse glow gauges, which he
installed himself. he told me that he could put them on for me a while
back on my 94 accord. ive had the problem for a while but never really
cared about it, but now that i know there are some people in a forum that
know what they are talkin about, ill give it a shot. the tach. only works
every once in a while if i hit the top of the dash repeatedly. and the
fuel gauge only moves up a little ways past empty. i would say it moves
up about 1/4 the way to the 1/4 tank mark. :-/ oh yeah, and the A/C and
the air recirculation lights dont work unless i tap on them...any ideas
anyone? thanks

well i did...and he said he did it all the same as when he did his, so i
really dont know wha tto do. and i dont wanna drop the $ to buy a new
gauge cluster.

It could be that connections are loose or need to be cleaned. Your
wording is a little confusing, you do mean that this issue is occurring on your
OEM gauges correct?
Try opening the cluster and get some pressurized air to clean out the
contacts. If this fixes your tach issue but doesn't fix your fuel gauge, you may
need a new fuel sending unit. They typically start going bad from 7-8 years
onward so you may be due for a new one.
