There was lots of water from heavy rain.

When I opened the hood, a splash of water dropped onto the alternator.
Will this likely cause any problem ?

Everything in there is resistant to falling water.  In fact, rain goes
right through the radiator.

The moving parts, fluid caps, transmission vent, and electrical
connections are not protected against streams of pressurized water.
They have to be covered or avoided when spraying dirt off.

No problem... the alternator will be subjected to much worse than that
in its lifetime.
