I have a 1993 honda civic ex and the speedometer started to go way high
like 90 mph when I am doing 60 mph.  Sometimes it would go totally around
and back to 00.  Now it is on the bottom side of that little peg thing
that sticks out to keep the needle from going up when I start out. Just
sits there now.  Is the problem just a matter of getting that needle past
that peg or something more serious?  The miles and trip counter both work
just the speed having problem with.
Thanks,
Bill

Either the vehicle speed sensor is bad, or the connection to it is bad.

How can you check the speed sensor or connection?  Do you go under the dash
or through the front where the gauges are? Thanks,Bill
