There's nothingon the Honda web site indicating a feature I was
curious about on a 2006 Accord LX-V6 so I'm guessing its not a factory
option and something I would have to do aftermarket.

I was interested in adding remote start to the Accord.  Anyone know
whether its available factory installed or would it be something I'd
need to do after market.

As far as I know, automakers will not ever install remote start in their
cars. You will have do it aftermarket.

Remote start is not recommended in any case for any car, especially one
that's still under warranty. Installing remote start in your '06 will
certainly void your factory warranty.

GM does it, in their malibu.

Ditto for Toyota.  Case in point, my folks' 2004 Corolla.

What part of the factory warranty will be voided?  Here in the U.S. it
doesn't void the factory warranty unless they can show that the aftermarket
device caused a malfunction, just as if one added an aftermarket radio.

Hmmmm, tell that to GM--who is busy adding remote start to quite a bit
of their lineup.

Ford has factory remote starter systems available for several of their
vehicles.
