We have a 2003, but with the latest DVD so it is essentially the same
as the 2006. Would never buy another car without it. Honda's system
is very highly rated. Considered one of the best of all the nav
systems available. You can see a video demonstration here -

Thanks Dick!
Is the DVD something that you can buy every year or so to insure you
have the latest maps? How much does an updated DVD cost?
Thanks!

Use www.google.com to find new versions of the DVD. Most people let it go
for many years. Might depend on the amount of construction where you drive.
It is expensive.

Yes, there is a new one every year, but they are expensive ($191+tax)
and it isn't necessary to get one that often. I would say every 3 or
4 years would be enough unless you just like spending money. :-)

I have 2005 Navi in my EX-V6, it is the best Navi design ou there.
Not sure if any upgrade is implemented in 2006.
My friend's 06 MDX does have some new better design than his 2004 TL.
One of the best improvement is the freedom to choose background color for
the 06. My 05 screen background does not have choice for the night mode.
The only "complaint" I have.
