95 Accord 4 cyl 5 speed.  My speedo is stuck on 30Kph/20mph
with the ignition on.   Does anybody know where speed sensor
is located and how many leads there are.  I only see a 2
lead plug on top of the manual tranny and figure this is the
reverse gear switch.

If it's like a civic, it's right over the differential. Back side of the
tranny on the passenger side, near the starter. Follow the passenger side
axle to the tranny then look up. It's 3 wires in a 98 civic.

I think it's far more likely to be a messed up cluster than the VSS
(Vehicle Speed Sensor). If it was the VSS your check engine light would
probably be on. The ECU needs the VSS signals too.

My 92 Prelude speedo occasionally sticks on about 40km/h. I've always
assumed it was a mechanical problem, but could it be something else?
Thanks

I had a guy email me privately with this identical symptom on his Accord.
But his speedo trouble was also accompanied by automatic shift problems and
odd behavior from the shift quadrant lights and the "S" light.

He replaced the VSS and all the problems went away.

Well, I could be wrong. I'd just expect additional symptoms.
