2003 Exterior Door Handle Replacement

My door handle needs to be replaced.  I am able to get the door panel
off.  I have moved aside the plastic sheet that covers the opening.

I have taken off the two rods that are for the handle and the lock
mechanism.
I have removed the two nuts that secure the door handle mechanism.

The only thing that is keeping me from getting this thing out is the
door lock cylinder does not seem to have anything retaining it that I
can see or remove.  It is seemingly impossible to remove and it is
holding it all in place.

My replacement handle that I have on hand seems to have a U clip that
would need to be accessed from the top or bottom, I am not sure which.
But the Metal retaining mount thing that the 2 nuts came off of
entirely blocks access from the top,  and the bottom is sketchy and I
cannot see anything to remove anywhere.

Does anyone know how to get this out?

Thanks

Try this link, and type in the details about your 'mystery honda'.
You'll figure it out.

The diagrams at SanLeandro Honda are very good. You might want to
bookmark it.

The diagrams are really nice.  Thanks for the tip.
Now I need to figure out how to get that U-clip off??
I can't see it, and I am guessing i will have to rip it down off of
there from below.

Anyone know how to get that clip off?

Let me know.

Thanks again curly.
